I am delighted and feel very privileged to become Patron of the Foundation.
It's is a sad truth that all too often we fail to recognise and value the worth of frontline staff who day on day care for the most disturbed and complex young people. Nowhere is this shown more starkly than in the lack of learning opportunities afforded to staff. That is why the work of the Foundation is so important.
Real opportunities for life-long learning delivered in an accessible form giving staff what they richly deserve - evidenced-based knowledge built on the latest research, enabling staff to further their knowledge base and to improve their skills in real world practice.
This, in turn helps to ensure improved life outcomes for children and young people. Through learning and supporting the wellbeing of practitioners by working together can benefit all.
The Foundation for Professionals in Services to Adolescents (FPSA) offers funding for relevant courses, conferences and training. Find out who can apply now.
