FPSA PRIVACY POLICY

The following are basic questions you may have about our privacy policy.

Why is FPSA updating its privacy policy?
FPSA is required to meet the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and have updated our privacy policy to reflect that.

 What is the GDPR?
The GDPR is a regulation intended to strengthen and unify data protection for everyone within the European Union (EU). The GDPR requires greater openness and transparency from companies on how they collect, store and use personal data, while also imposing tighter limits on the use of personal data. What information does FPSA collect about me?
FPSA collects your name, email address and address along with all the other data you supply when completing an application form for funding.

Why does FPSA need my information?
FPSA uses data to process your application. We also use data to communicate with you, for example, informing you about opportunities, funding available, and rarely other types of updates.

How is my information used?
FPSA uses data for the following purposes:  

  • Processing grant applications
  • Communicating with applicants

Does FPSA sell information to third parties?
No. We never have. And we never will.

Can I opt out of sharing my information with FPSA?
Yes, you can opt-out but this might mean that your application cannot be processed. The trustees as caretakers of the charity must give due diligence to the process of spending the charity’s money which requires specific information from you.

How do I delete my personal data from FPSA and what are the consequences?
You can send us an email via secretariat@foundationpsa.org.uk or contact our the Secretariat and request that your data be deleted. Please note, however, that by deleting your personal data your FPSA grant application will be deleted

How long does FPSA keep my information?
FPSA retains personal data for as long as necessary to retain a clear picture of how the charity spends its money.

How is information stored and secured on FPSA’ servers?
FPSA is committed to protecting the security of your personal data. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. For example, we store the personal data you provide on computer systems that have limited access and are in controlled facilities. Any data we transmit over the internet is protected using a secure dropbox login.

Is FPSA using cookies?
Use of cookies, also known as browser cookies or tracking cookies, cookies are small, often encrypted text files, located in browser directories. They are used to help users navigate their websites efficiently and perform certain functions.

FPSA only uses cookies that collect data on the number of users and visitors to our website. We use this data so we can develop new and better services. The information we collect does not reveal any personal information about our users.

Applying for Funding

The Foundation for Professionals in Services to Adolescents (FPSA) offers funding for relevant courses, conferences and training. Find out who can apply now. FPSA do not provide retrospective funding, if you have already paid for a course, training or conference you cannot apply for funding. Please check the deadlines for applications before you submit.
